Ramadan is the most beloved month amongst all months of the Hijri calendar. We start this month by witnessing the moon. This trend will never ever get old. No matter how much science has improved and there is this and that level progress but witnessing Ramadan month’s moon is more blissful to us. As days are passing, Ramadan is not far away. May Allah let us reach Ramadan.
All around the world, especially in Muslim countries, this month is welcomed with open arms. In Pakistan also, Ramadan is the most awaited month. There is certain kind of happiness, can’t describe in words, the feeling, the emotion, how light you feel during this blessed month…
Before the arrival of Ramadan, there are few things we need to do, so that we can evenly enjoy the blessings, this month brings for us.
1- start giving charity, charity gives inner peace. Before Ramadan comes, make it your aim and this step will assist in giving more during Ramadan
2- start offering prayers regularly, making it a habit that will definitely help you during Ramadan.
3- read the Quran with routine, starting with one aya to two then three and gradually increasing it to one page and so on will assist you to recite the Quran during Ramadan.
4- start fasting on Monday and Thursday, there is an immense reward for fasting on these two days. Plus it will make you prepare for Ramadan.
5- if you have any bad habit, you may know well, leave it off immediately, work on yourself.
6- try to remember a few ayahs, it will help a lot during Ramadan. Start with short ones.
7- take an initiative with a nutritious diet. Diet should involve all healthy food but with moderate quantity.
8- make a schedule for things to do in Ramadan and adopt it before Ramadan arrives.
9- clear your disputes, make your heart clean and mind relax and do dhikr so you may find peace. Allah says in the Quran “verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest”, صدق الله العظيم
10- be kind to yourself, prepare for eid (shopping and other time-consuming activities) before Ramadan so that you don’t have to miss doing ibadah during the last 10 days of Ramadan.
